HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN PEKERJAAN AKSEPTOR DENGAN RENDAHNYA PEMAKAIAN KB IUD DI PUSKESMAS BUKIT SANGKAL PALEMBANG TAHUN 2017

Abstract

The IUD is an affective contraceptive method with the special advantage than once the IUD is placed, no further motivation, effort, or equipment for continuation of contraception is required. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of  knowledge and work with the choice of contraceptive method of contraception in the uterus at Public Health Center Bukit Sangkal Palembang in 2017. This research method used quantitative research method with cross sectional approach, with sampling technique that was by the number of samples of  30 respondents. The techniques for data collection used questionnaire to know the relationship between variables done bivariate analysis by using chi square formula. The  result of each variables showed that there was a significant correlation between the use of IUD with knowledge of P value 0.004. Whereas, the use of IUD was against with P-value 0,001. The two independent variables mentioned above could be drawn the conclusion that there was a significant relationship between the use of IUD against knowledge and work. Researchers provided advice to relevant agencies and to officers in charge at region to conduct counseling to increase public knowledge about contraceptive device in the womb to be selected from various types of contraceptive available. To acceptors, it should do consultation before choosing and using contraception. To the next researcher, it is hope to develop the space and scope discussion of the study.
