Abstract

Puerperium (puerperium) is a period of restoration of uterine devices such as before pregnancy. Ongoing puerperium for 6 weeks (42 days) since 2 hours after childbirth. According to WHO (World Health Organization), maternal mortality and infant mortality rate in Indonesia is still very high. "Maternal death is the death of a woman during pregnancy or in 42 days after childbirth". Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) as one indicator of maternal health. The cause of maternal death was 28% bleeding, 11% infections, 5% stoppage / 5% dyspnoea, 24% eclamps, 8% puerperium complication, 5% abortion, 3% drug embolism. The purpose of this paper is to determine what factors affect the anxiety of postpartum sexual intercourse at Muhammadiyah Hospital Palembang in 2017. Population in this writing is all postpartum who come in Muhammadiyah Police Hospital Midwifery Palembang in 2017. Sample in writing this is part of postpartum mother who come at Muhammadiyah Hospital Palembang year 2017 as many as 30 people. From Chi-Square results show there is a meaningful relationship of education to anxiety of postpartum sexual intercourse got p value = 0,004 <α = 0,05. There was a significant relationship of knowledge to anxiety of postpartum sexual intercourse got p value = 0,020 <α = 0,05. There was a significant correlation between perineal wound on postpartum anxiety was p value = 0,001 <α = 0,05. It is expected to be used as an information and evaluation material for health workers at Muhammadiyah Palembang Hospital in providing complete information about postpartum sexual intercourse so they have good knowledge of postpartum sexual intercourse and do not feel anxious to have postpartum sexual intercourse.
