HUBUNGAN UMUR DAN PARITAS IBU DENGAN KEJADIAN SECTIO CAESAREA DI RUMAH SAKIT MUHAMMADIYAH PALEMBANG TAHUN 2017

Abstract

Cesarean delivery is an artificial birth where the fetus is born through an incision in the abdominal wall and the uterine wall with the condition of the uterus intact for the fetus weighing over 500 grams. This study aimed to determine whether there was a relationship between the age and parity of the mother with the incidence of caesarea section. This research used quantitative research design with cross sectional design approach. Populations and samples in this study were maternal mothers recerded in medical records Muhammadiyah Hospital Palembang 2017, which amounted to 272 people. Data analysis used was ubivariate analysis and bivariate analysis. The results of this study indicated there was a relationship between maternal age wiht the incidence of caesarea section at Muhammadiyah Hospital Palembang 2017 (ρ-value= 0,000). There was a relationship between the parity of mother with the incident Sectio Caesarea at Muhammadiyah Hospital Palembang 2017 (ρ-value = 0,000). It is expected that health workers to provide counseling to pregnant women, especially mothers with first pregnancy and even EFA women about the benefits of normal partus versus caesarea section.
