HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP REMAJA PUTRI TERHADAP PEMERIKSAAN PAYUDARA SENDIRI (SADARI) DI SMA BINA CIPTA  PALEMBANG TAHUN 2018

Self breast examination aims todetect breast cancer in mature stage condition. Good mature detection and

therapeutic has proved to be able to decrease mortality rate is due to breast cancer. Teenager period is transformation

period from childhood to a dultery. Knowledge is a impression in human’s mind as the result of using their senses.

Attitude is a kind of evaluation or feeling reaction. This research aims to find out the relation between knowledge

and teenager’s attitude to self breast examination at Bina Cipta Palembang High School in 2017.The design of this

research used analytic method through cros sectional approach.The population for this researchwas 66 teenagers at

Bina Cipta Palembang High School. The research sample taken for this research used total sampling technique

namely the sample taken by taking whoever seen at Bina Cipta Palembang High School. The data taken was primary

and secondary one. The data analysis used was univariat and bivariat analysis by showing chi-square test. Based on

bivariat analysisresult by using chi-square statistic test showed the relation among knowledge, attitude by using self

breast examination namely; there was a relation between teenager’s knowledge with self breast examination p value

(0.00) ≤ α (0.05). There was a relation between teenager’s attitude with self breast examination p value (0.004) ≤ α

(0.05). it is expected to the girl students of Bina Cipta Palembang High School to frequently examine their breasts

because it is going to help them find out any disorder to their breast.
