HUBUNGAN ANTARA PEKERJAAN IBU DAN PENDAPATAN IBU TERHADAP PEMBERIAN MP-ASI DINI PADA BAYI USIA 6-12 BULAN DI BPM YUSIDA EDWARD PALEMBANG TAHUN 2017

Abstract

Early breastfeeding is the provision of MP-ASI before 6 months of age can decrease breastfeeding consumption and indigestion or diarrhea. This study was intended to determine whether there was a relationship between maternal and maternal work on early breastfeeding of the  age 6-12 months. The study applied quantitative research with ross sectional design, with 63 respondents. The writer interviewed directly to respondents, to find the mother and pregnant mother’s job. This data collection was saturated sampling (taking all members of the population into samples). The result of research obtained by working mother that was 46 respondent (73,0%) more that mother did not work 17 respondent (27%). Mpthers who had high incomes were 40 respondents (63,5%) more that low mothers who were 23 respondents (36,5%). The mother who gave the Early Breastfeeding Mothers was 53 respondents (84,1%) more that those who did not give the Early Breastfeeding MP-ASI of 10 respondents (15,1%). From the result of chi-square between mother’s job to giving of MP-ASI early breastfeeding at the result of p-value 0,000 and the relation between pregnant mothers to MP-ASI value early result p-value 0,006. From this study there was a relationship between maternal and pregnant mother’s work on the provision of MP-ASI early breastfeeding in expecting the mother to continue to give Exclusive Breast Milk to the baby and also give the MP-ASI on time.
