HUBUNGAN PENDIDIKAN DAN USIA DENGAN PENGETAHUAN IBU TENTANG TANDA – TANDA BAHAYA MASA NIFAS DI BPM YUSIDA EDWARD PALEMBANG TAHUN 2021
Abstract
The postpartum period is the period after giving birth for 6 weeks or 40 days. This process begins after the completion of labor and ends when the reproductive organs return to their pre-pregnancy / non-pregnant state. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between education and age with the knowledge of postpartum mothers about the danger signs of childbirth at BPM Yusida Edward Palembang 2021. The design of study was an analytical survey research with a cross sectional approach. This research was conducted at BPM Yusida Edward on March 6, 2021. the research with 34 respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire sheet. The results of the research was univariate analysis of 34 respondents with higher education were 25 people (73.5%) more than those with low education were 9 people (26.5%). The result of bivariate from 34 respondents showed that there were 24 (96.0%) mothers of higher education who had good knowledge about the warning signs of postpartum. And mothers who had higher education who had lack knowledge were 1 (4.0%) respondents. Meanwhile, mothers with low education who had good knowledge of the danger signs of postpartum were 1 (11.1%) respondents. And mothers with low education who had lack of knowledge were 8 (88.9%) respondents. From the results of the Chi-square test showed that the p value was 0.00 which means ≤ α = 0.05). This meant that there was a significant correlation between education and maternal knowledge. Concerning the danger sign of Postpartum in BPM Bunda Ceria Palembang 2018. And the Univariate results of 34 respondents revelaed that Low Risk Age were 28 people (82.4%) more than those with High Risk Age, namely 6 people were (17.6 %). Bivariate results from 34 respondents showed that there were 24 (85.7%) respondents who had good knowledge about the danger signs of postpartum, and low risk mothers who had lack knowledge were 1 (16.7%) respondents. Meanwhile, there were 1 (16.7%) respondents who had good knowledge about the danger sign of postpartum period. And mothers of high risk age who had lack of knowledge were 5 (83.3%). From the results of the Chi-square test, the p value was 0.002, meaning ≤ α = 0.05). This mentioned that there was a significant correlation between age and knowledge of the danger signs of postpartum period at BPM Yusida Edward Palembang 2021. The conclusion of this study was that there was a correlation between education and age and knowledge of the danger signs of postpartum period in BPM Yusida Edward.
