FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KEBERHASILAN PEMBERIAN ASI EKSKLUSIF PADA BAYI USIA 7-12 BULAN DI BPM YUSIDA EDWARD PALEMBANG TAHUN 2020
Abstract
According to data (WHO) the World Health Organization recommends that mothers breastfeed their babies in the first hour after giving birth and continue until the age of the first 6 months of the baby's life. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the success of exclusive breastfeeding for infants aged 7-12 months at BPM Yusida Edward Palembang 2020. This research method used an analytical survey method with a cross sectional approach where the independent variables (parity, age and occupation) and the dependent variable (exclusive breastfeeding) was collected at the same time. This population is all mothers who have babies aged 7 to 12 months who come to BPM Yusida Edward Palembang, totaling 262. The research sample is 158 respondents using Simple Random Sampling technique. The results obtained in the univariate analysis of the Exclusive Breastfeeding variable that provided exclusive breastfeeding amounted to 192 respondents (73.3 percent), the parity variable obtained by mothers who had low risk parity amounted to 202 respondents (77.1 percent), the age variable was obtained by mothers who had a low risk parity. low risk amounted to 195 respondents (74.4 percent), the variable of work affected by mothers who did not work amounted to 194 respondents (74.0 percent). In the bivariate analysis, the results of the Chi-square statistical test obtained exclusive breastfeeding (p value = 0.00), Parity (p value = 0.00), Age (p value = 0.00) , Occupation (p value = 0, 00) on the success of exclusive breastfeeding for months at BPM Yusida Edward Palembang in 2020. Suggestions for health workers are expected to maintain and improve the quality of services in providing services to mothers with exclusive breastfeeding and adding counseling about the importance of breastfeeding for babies.
