HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN IBU HAMIL DENGAN KEPATUHAN MENGKONSUMSI TABLET Fe DI PUSKESMAS DEMPO PALEMBANG TAHUN 2019
Abstract
Pregnancy is the period from conception to the birth of the fetus. The health of the fetus in the womb is a top priority for the mother. Iron deficiency in pregnant women can lead to miscarriage, low birth weight. Giving iron (Fe) supplements is one way that is considered the most suitable for pregnant women to prevent this from happening. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a relationship between knowledge of pregnant women and adherence to consuming Fe tablets. Analytical survey research design The population taken were all mothers who came to do a pregnancy check at public Health Center Dempo Palembang, and the sample obtained was 35 respondents. The method used is accidental sampling. From the results of the univariate analysis, it was found that respondents who had good knowledge of pregnant women (54.3%) were more than mothers with sufficient knowledge (28.6%) and less well informed (17.1%). Obedience of pregnant women consuming Fe tablets amounted to (65.7%) and those who did not comply (34.3%). From the results of the bivariate analysis, it was found that there was a significant relationship between knowledge of pregnant women and compliance with Fe tablet consumption at public Health Center Palembang in 2019 with p value = 0.000. Suggestions for public Health Center so that they can provide policies through the best programs in MCH, especially in terms of preventing anemia in pregnancy, such as increasing programs through counseling, counseling, and IEC to pregnant women about the importance of consuming Fe tablets.
