HUBUNGAN PENDIDIKAN DAN PENGETAHUAN IBU DENGAN PEMBERIAN IMUNISASI TAMBAHAN MR (MEASLES RUBELLA) PADA BALITA DI PUSKESMAS LIMA ILIR PALEMBANG TAHUN 2019

Abstract

MR (measles rubella) is a contagious infection disease via respiratory system caused by virus. Measles can cause a serious complication such as; diarrhea, pneumonia, ensefalitic, blindness, even death. This research aims to find out the relation between education and mother’s knowledge with the giving of additional measles rubella immunization to under 5 years old children at ilir five clinic Palembang 2019. The design of this research was a quantitative analysis survey with cross sectional approach. The technique taken by using accidental sampling to 30 respondents. Respondents’ frequency distribution  by the giving of additional MR immunization was 22 respondents. It was more than those who didn’t do, namely 8 respondents. 19 respondents (75,7%) with high education, it was more than those with low education for 11 respondents (23,4%). Good knowledge respondents were 22 (75,7%), it was more than 8 respondents (24,3%) with poor knowledge. There was a meaningful relation between education with the giving of additional measles rubella immunization at ilir five clinic Palembang in 2019. The result gotten was p value = 0,002 < α (0,05). There was a meaningful relation between knowledge and additional measles rubella immunization at ilir five clinic Palembang in 2019. The result gotten was p value = 0,037 < α (0,05). It is hopeful to the officers to increase their service, proper facilities and give more information.
